Separated Elbow
We had our first 'on trail' injury this week with a guest separating his elbow during a fall! Ouch!
We had just started into Comfortably Numb with a plan to ride North Secret and cut out down Young Lust if it all got too much. The Young Lust descent is a beauty!
The guest fell about 3km into the trail and dislocated his elbow in a way that aparently doent happen very often.. it looked a real sight.
Anyway, it became immediately obvious that we would need to get the rider taken out of the trail as the pain he was experiencing was extreme.
The emergency services were called and had a paramedic crew and 6 firefighters with us in 45 minutes. The rider was taken out by means of a hard stretcher with a huge centrally mounted wheel and he was rolled out over a fair amount of technical trail.
A great job by the emergency services!
Thanks chaps!
