Wet weekend - 2nd place

Well.. sorry about no updates... but what a wet miserable weekend!

Those solo boys are something else!

We've raced as a 5 man team for the last 3 years now scoring 2 catagory wins and a 2nd place this year.
Winning a set of Kenda tyres seemed far more valuable somehow than yet another yellow jersey that you can only wear once a year! Saying that.. at no point did we race for 2nd place as we were very much outclassed by the winners!

The weather was the worst so far and not a pleasant experience. The organisers did all they could to keep spirits up and the vollies were fantastic all weekend!

We were lucky enough to have a condo right by the camp area so after each lap we could go and get showered and a quick hot tub to get some warmth back into the body... those poor b**tards riding solo had no such luxuries and I have upmost respect for their achievements over the weekend!

Its great to see a brit coming over and giving the top guys a run for their money - Congratulations


Oh and the weather was most definately out of character for a summer in Whistler!

Its perfect blue skies again here today and temps back up in the high 20's. The sun came back literally hours after the end of the race! As they say.. 'the law of the sod'!
