Whistler isnt good enough when you cant ride a bike
So if you have done a few too many season on skis and had a summer of riding stolen from you for not paying attention on 'the Plunge' thus breaking your hand, what is the best thing you can do for the winter?

I'm heading out on 12,000 km's of fun from Cairo to Cape town as the mechanic for the tour d'afrique and the last days of 2008 are not going fast enough. Jonny in his infinate wisdom has decided that I should begin blogging and record whats going on so let the fun begin. I am going to not hold anything back and apolgise in advance for what im sure will be colourful language (sorry ma), bad spelling, crass reports on the state of my digestive system and bitching about numerous bikes and kit that repeatedly break. (sorry rockshox).
I should be riding in some way shape or form most days depending on what has broken, exploded or declared war. As staff im told if you 'get on your bike' at every opertunity you should ride at least 6,000 km's (jonny is already shitting himself and writting up a training schedule for his winter) Equipment is the big decision at the moment with hardtail or cross bike being the biggest then saddle choice (gotta keep things down there workin how they should) , lycra ...yes lycra will be worn, even the arab countries havn't banned it. The choices are endless when your not sure what to expect crossing a continent.
So anyways as interesting as it may or may not be, I am going to try and keep people updated via this now old fashioned way of communication. Hope to keep some of you amused when you should be working.
