2008 - Underway!
Tonight was the first of the Wednesday night Twoonie races down in Squamish. A nice dry course that served to bring plenty of winter stuff up from the lungs.
About 80 starters rode up from the Golf course to Jacks trail, then Alice Lake following the Test of Metal course up the access road and finding its way throug tracks from Hell to the highlands and on into RollerCoaster then Lumber Jacks before a finish back at the golf course with Bracken Trail as the last bit of singletrack.
Post race food was kindly provided by Cafe Maya.
Being a seasoned Whistler Loonie racer, we did the usual 'race for the food' and ended up as firt in the cafe. The chef took great care presenting or Mexican delights and take note Whistler.. this was presentation! There was of course a resulting line up, but the food was worth waiting for!
