Hot Hot Day!

Todays weather was simply superb! It has been hot and sunny for the last 2 weeks now with todays high at a splendid 35 degrees! Its like being on a beach holiday. That being said, it was a great day to spend at the lake, the water is warming up to its usual summer temperatures and the beautiful people are making the most of it. Lost Lake Park, Rainbow Park and Alta Lake Park all have beaches, docks and concession stands and offer a great place to spend a relaxing day away from the bike! Evening rides and extended play on the bike park are a great way to ride whilst avoiding the heat of the day. Extended play tickets are $30, more info here

Fox 36 Review

Courtesy of Mike at our Sister company the West Coast Freeride Guides.

The sub 5 lbs, 6” travel FOX 36 definitely lives up to its hype. Just recently one of our guides switched his FOX 40 for the FOX 36 and was blown away by its performance.

If anybody is worried about its freeride performance…they shouldn't! The fork was able to take all the same abuse as the FOX 40. The rider had no problem dropping the GLC, A-Line drop, negotiating the technical Schleyer & Joyride trails and taking the huge jumps on Dirt Merchant in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park .

With a slight increase or decrease of air pressure, it was so easy to adjust it for different rider weight and type of terrain. The FOX 36 is a must have! It received 8.5 out of 10 for overall performance.

What MTB Diary

Well the boys from WhatMTB have been out with us over the last week or so experiencing just what Whistler has to offer. Good on the WhatMTB lot for figuring on doing an article that helps promote Whistler in the same way that we are trying to promote the resort through our holidays. There is sooo much more to this place than simply the bike park!
Whistler is a resort that caters to every whim of the biker and every demand of the tourist, either site seeing or adventurers.
Have a look at our What MTB diary here and see what we've been up to!

The magazine staff have been out here on our Whistler Experience Package
As far as we can tell thay've has a bloody good time, although we'll wait and see from their articles and let you draw your own conclusions over the coming months.
